This is awesome! I’ve been chronicling some of my journey that I’m currently on as a nondenominational church staff member, diving into church history and feeling called back to a more traditional form of Christianity. It’s challenging (especially since my job is on the line) but I feel His guidance in it and can’t wait to read your stuff!

Was by far the most bewildering and demanding process of my life. Also the most rewarding. Being from the nondenom sphere, you already get it: You simply MUST go wherever Christ is. Nothing else matters. As for the price, perhaps it is a special blessing to put your life in his hands in such a tangible way. If I can offer any conversation or encouragement, feel free to shoot me a message at any time! WIll certainly be keeping you in my prayers.

Hello, this isn’t a simple question, but if you are willing to consider it, who would you say you are before other things (i.e. worldview, different groups of family/friend relationships, profession, ethnicity, nationality, other interests etc). I went through this exercise recently and was surprised to notice afterwards that I didn’t list a denomination in number 1 place on my list.

I am first of all one for whom Christ died. Contained in this is a recognition of everything that means. In short, it is the fullness of the Catholic Faith. It is a hard saying, but the Catholic Church is not a denomination. It is the standard. The whole, the only place Christianity is found in its entirety. To identify myself as a Catholic first is to identify myself as one immersed in Christ, trying to swim deeper if I can.

Listing my other loves in order: I will (God willing) be a husband and a father. I am already a son, and blessed with a wealth of friends. I am a subject of the Diocese of Austin. I am an American. I suppose everything else falls somewhere further down.
